"Rollercoaster World"

I was sitting in a pool of elation - I was drowning in the waters of love
While hanging on the wires of expectation I thought you were there
Could still feel all your fears running wild with the lions in the park
And although you're not here anymore I remember you standing in the door
Though not here for me to touch I still love and want you so much
Both running wild we feed the lions in the park

To me it seems your spirits not moved-on
The devil took your life and future song
Stole your hopes while you prayed in the darkness of your days
left me dreaming with the lions in the park

So haunted I am by your face bewildered and scared in disgrace
Wild-eyed you did stare as the lions ran your fair
Now a thousand or more the young and old stole your scores
Broke the fences of my dreams
But left you wandering in lost schemes
In my head forever waiting in the park
Once a man said to "let you go"
With a smile he fired his hallowed bow
Put an arrow through my heart
Rubbed salt in thoughtless words
Yet chased the demons from your place
Brought peace and light where shadows did wait
To haunt my mind at memories gate
In a rollercoaster whirl of love and hate happy memories unfurl
As I tell them of your lions in the park

If it hadn't have been for Steve Waller's trust and belief in my writings, I would never have had the courage to go into a recording-studio.
